Brighton-based DJ, broadcaster and vinyl specialist Kirollus is on a mission to bring rare funk, boogie and soul back to the dancefloor. Known for his wax-only sets and deep knowledge of obscure grooves, he blends forgotten cuts with undeniable rhythm, always driven by feel and authenticity.
Rooted in hip-hop digging culture, Kirollus found his way to boogie and ’80s funk through record shops and sample-hunting, eventually honing his ear while working at soul, funk and jazz institution Uptight Records. His selections celebrate the passion and independence of underground music, where groove comes before hype.
Rising to prominence during lockdown with radio shows, curated mix series and livestreams, Kirollus quickly built a devoted global following. Today, he shares his expansive collection with audiences across the UK and beyond, including his monthly show on Defected Broadcasting House.
